MAN approach today

In Merseyway this afternoon, I noticed the aircraft were passing over significantly to the right. Quite strange as usually they are all tracking 23R centreline at this point. Just curious as to why.

VOR DME approaches which brings them in at 229 degrees instead of 234

Just to clarify, the new ILS on 23R isn't in service yet therefore aircraft are flying the VOR approach.

OK, Thanks 750 and Com. Does this increase the workload for ATC and the pilots?

Yes and yes!

Excellent vectoring folks - thanks!

I'd like to say that, with one exception, the vectoring I have had for the last 5 weeks has been almost perfect in terms of track miles and alititude for intercepting the radial and starting the descent.

I hope it gives you folks in ATC the same good feeling of a great intercept as I get when I fly the VOR/DME well. We won't go into when I don't fly it so well...!

Seriously though, great vectoring folks - thanks!

DW. :ok:
