ATC Voice Recorder

Folks, I need to source a voice recorder for an offshore installation to record radio communications between the helicopter and the helideck/control room crew (plus put a date/time stamp on it).

We currently use a Racal Wordwatch tape recorder. But's it's now considered to be old technology. So I want something that records to hard disc, or DVD.

Can some of you kind ATC folk quote me a make/model that you currently use (any any good or bad reviews). I only need one channel input.

Thanking you in anticpiation.

ATC voice recording

We currently use NICELOG recorders for ATC voice capture. Not sure of the model number but should be able to google them and get some info for your application.

When I was running Comm Requirements for ATC we also used NICE loggers:

Thank you for the feedback.

'NICE' seems to have taken over from Thales/RACAL, the manufacturere of our current unit. But the replies to date have given me some other suggested vendors.

There's always the "Ricochet" from a company based in Poole,Dorset. Not heard a bad word about those.

And you could do radar recording with it if you so desire...

We use this to record a AFIS frequency. Provides date and time stamping.

Shameless plugging! :)

Why not buy an ad and help support Pprune?
Surely with a worldwide portfolio of clients you would be able to afford it?

Copperchase make Ricochet digital recorders and they've been around for years and have a long proven track record. Have a look here:-
