IAA facing strke action from ATC?
The ATC union, IMPACT has received the unanimous backing of the controllers for action up to and including withdrawal of service following the dismissal of one of their members.
Just when you thought that everything was going to be ok following the recent "outages", this possible outage will need more than a new network card to fix |
All because he attended the birth of his first baby and failed his exams because they wouldn't afford him the opportunity of a few days off.:D
|
is this anything to do with slots going into dublin that are off the wall? we'd a 3 hour delay due slots coming in dub and when we arrived there the place was like a cemetary.
|
Bearcat, this strike action hasn't started yet!
If it does there will be no slots required, as there will be no service. The first action will be a 24Hr stoppage. Cant wait to see O'Learys reaction to this |
He'll probably send all flights to Liverpool or Belfast City and still call them Dublin!
|
BALLS!!!!!!....Looks like I'm missin all the fun!!!!!:E
|
Jollyrog..not really , cant imagine getting both your new baby welcome hamper and your letter of dismissal from the company a few hours apart on the same day is fun. Not only will they not recognise the employee has right to union repesentation but they seem willing to throw all the rules ,agreements and understandings out the window which could have massive life and career altering effects on those of us still left...which is reducing with each day
Seems they are intent on picking another fight (after losing the last one) when in reality all this could have been resolved in 10 mins weeks ago. Just makes you wonder what is going thru' their minds and what they thought and decision making processes are when they are willing to shut the company down....for what???????????????????? Ock1f Ps hope your sunburnt you lucky fecker :ok: |
[Alan Sugar voice] "Wife in labour? You're FIRED!"
The IAA, a Family Friendly Company. :hmm: |
Ock1f.....all true whats said. A couple of individuals around that place need there heads srewed off and their various canals cleared out....full of lots of....ah well!!!! I hope all turns out well for the bloke (or should I say couple) in question. The IAA should know at this stage the controllers there aren't going to sit back and let this happen......best of luck to ye:ok:
Anyhow I'm off to the beach....... |
Have they no shame?
Just confirms what you guys have been saying for months - the words "IAA" and "family-friendly"/"employee-friendly" do not sit comfortably in the same sentence!!  := |
Tick tock.............
Word has it that there will be news sometime today and that our beloved company are digging their heels in.:ugh:
|
Dramatic U-Turn...........
In a move that must have humiliated the powers that be to the core,IAA Management have finally seen the light and reversed their earlier decision not to attend The Labour Court.Yet again they have under-estimated the resolve of their own staff and were within a whisker of bringing this once fine company down to its knees. They will now get an even bigger ass whooping than they would have got if they had agreed to attend initially.
To the managers that read this forum:Have you finally learned your lesson?Surely there are better ways to resolve the difficulties you have with your staff than continuously dragging things out and at the same time loosing even more of the respect that your staff have in you.At some stage, someone, somewhere will have to be held accountable for the gross mis-management of very manageable situations. That time is fast approaching. What happens between now and then, only you can decide by virtue of the decisions that you make. You have all the ingredients to be the world beater that you purport to be.Use them wisely............. |
Smacks of someone somewhere making a silly decision and someone else backing it up and then not being able to step back because they don't want to lose face in front of there senior management colleagues.
You have to remember this company is run like a big boys club. Everyone up top knows someone else who got them there job or made one for them. This won't be the last time we have to go this far I fear they are going to try and screw us on absolutely EVERYTHING from now on. Its very much a two tier company THEM v US. Lets all keep our eyes open and watch for the sly one that they will try and slip through without us noticing. Here's to a good result in the LC. |
The IAA must have their own personal chairs at the labur court at this stage....it would be interesting to know exactly how many times they have made the trip to the labour court in the last couple of years...:ugh:
|
Word has it they have spent more on Dublin Bus getting there than on their staff recently!!!! Ouch..........:=.....
We need a new Tribunal!!! |
One stupid decision, compounded by even more stupidity.
