Help needed for Controller

Hiii
I am not native english user and also not pilot So I coulnt understand exactly what does the pilot mean with this request:

JUST TRY TO TAKE UP THE HOLD OF IAF JUST FOR 1.30 SLIPS MY ALTITUDE”

I didnt listen this request. My friend listen but He couldnt understand so he asked me but It is same for me too.

If you clarify that request that I can understand, I would appreciate that

Regards

I need your help for meaning of pilot request.

oturansincap,

Although it is unclear, it may be a request by the pilot to hold at the initial approach fix for a minute and a half to lose some altitude.

Was this aircraft in a radar environment and being vectored?

No wonder you're confused - as a native english speaker I could barely decipher this!
I tend to agree with AV8boy with his translation!

I thank you very much for your fast reply (loubylou,av8boy).

Yes ,The aircraft was in radar environment and was being vectored for VOR/DME approach course.

Thanks for your help in advance

oturansincap,

It seems a bit odd to me that this sort of thing would be requested by the pilot in lieu of ATC providing a little more vectoring to lose some altitude. Do you have more details regarding aircraft type, what altitude the aircraft was at when he made his request, how far from the IAF the aircraft was, and what the IAF crossing altitude is? Did the controller that was working the aircraft believe that the aircraft was too high? Would you be willing to identify the airport and the approach for us?

I'm just trying to get a feel for the situation.

Thanks,

Dave :ok:

Hii Dave

I am sory for late response

The aircraft was A322. Airport LTBS and RWY was 19. The aircraft was being vectored for VOR/DME approach.( I will send you approach chart with PM).

By the way, I have not realized that but my friend inform me that,If 1.30 is the duration of holding time over IAF , Is it possible for A322 to make one orbit within 1.30' (90 sec.)

Regards :)
