English Proficiency.....NOT an ICAO question

I'm doing some research into what the asking level of English is for Air Traffic Control authorities around the world - especially Europe and Asia.

For example, what is the required level and how it is measured.

Do most control authorities require IELTS 7.0 or higher or is there another system involved.

Thanks

Farrell

After speaking English for 30+ years(not sure of the exact date I started!) My Middle East employer has requested that I present myself for an English test to prove my ability.
Surely the simple fact of being able to find the bars that open during Ramaddam prove my ability!

It depends whether you have the ability to buy a round or not ;)

Its not the buying, its the drinking that counts. You're all welcome.
