South African ATC on Scottish Frequency?

Recently flew to Belfast and the scottish highlands and both times spoke to a south african controller. Interesting to hear a different accent, also friendly and accomodating, (direct routeing and wx info offered without asking). Anybody else heard this voice?

Stacks of S-African ATC all over the world. Perhaps the one you are refering to was contract throught SERCO. Good too see fellow countrymen making a difference.

Yes there is one South African at Scottish and he has just recently validated on the sectors that cover Belfast in/out and Inverness and the Western Isles.
