in the stone age i'm sure they'd have manged better

was sent through the centreline 3 times cos they couldn't sort out the space under " RADAR"

as for departing well its worth a visit to watch

Can't wait for when the A-380 starts coming

Also read an article a while ago about the ATC in India all over in general being sort os a timebomb... just about time until something major happens. God forbid this happening with an A380 or something :\ (poor plane)

Remember landing at VABB about 15 years ago on the jumpseat of an SQ 747 . Interesting it was , we turned off the active to be confronted by cattle and kids on the taxyway and grass alongside . Captain complained on freq to TWR but I don't think it did any good . The aroma on disembarking was unusual too !

yea man...have read lot of stories in the local papers of TWR goof-ups. it's a pity that being the largest airport in India it still has lot of issues with ATC personnel who cliam they are short staffed and that there has been no corresponding increase in personnel after the boom. Unless u have another Chakri like incident these guys will not wake up
