OK, it's been nearly two weeks now. Is anyone going to post some thoughts on working at LACC?. .What's it like, is the kit OK? Will we move the traffic? What are the pubs like?

London Weighting: If Gatwick can ask for one, then so can we! But to answer your question directly, no we don't get LW.

So all the replys I get is some non NATS creeps winging about London weighting.

Do any NATS people actually read this (or the NATS private forum) at all???

I am beginning to doubt it.....

Think I may not bother to visit PPRuNne again for ATC issues.

Sector8 Dear, on what basis do you think I'm non-NATS and a creep?. .Hope you don't make work decisions based on such guesses! <img src="eek.gif" border="0"> . .I was adding an extra question on the back of yours as I was genuinely interested if LW was paid (with thanks to eyeinthesky for answering).. .Whilst I'm on my soapbox, thanks to Bexil for your post- very interesting, and I'm delighted (and surprised!).

As far as a few of us are concerned, spending all that money so we can still use the same computer is a tad silly.. .The ops room is BIG,9 hour night shifts are not fun and the FIS closing some days due to lack of staff is not the best signal to be sending out to the public.. .And the new rostering!!!

The best thing that I have found after moving down to "JP" is that I don't have to share the same airspace (coffee lounge, corridors etc) as "sector8 dear" and some of the other t*****s that post on here.

Very refreshing

PS It's also very nice here...and the fish in the lake are very friendly.

My sincere apologies if I offended, really wasn't intended. Just curious to know how NERC was going for real and suppose could not see the relevance of London Weighting which I (perhaps stupidly) assumed any NATS employee would know about re NERC - no they don't get it - or Home to Duty Mileage allowance.

Sector8 Dear, apologies accepted, and in return I'll apologise for being so touchy.. .There- we're pals again! :)

It is incredible to believe that we NATS ATCOs work for the same company!! There is such unit snobbery that it makes you understand why we rarely get things right when we are developing new multi-unit projects! Will controllers ever grow up? We need to work together and act together to get through the rubbish we are having to deal with at the moment. The only thing that is keeping this company's good reputation are the controllers.. .Sorry for rambling on - but I have just had two mornings of management lies!!
