GDF planning strike?

Anyone know the background to this?

GdF only granted interim court order for the right to strike

The management of DFS Deutsche Flugsicherung refuses to accept that the GdF (Gewerkschaft der Flugsicherung= Air Traffic ControlŽs Union) has the status of a union.
GdF would eventually strike for the acceptance of being a union, not for other reasons. This case went to court and the judge now said that Gdf is definitely a union.
Now the management is expected to talk to GdF like to a union. If they do not, weŽll strike.

I was glad to hear that the judge ruled in favor of the controllers union... Hopefully the DFS will sit down and do what they should have all along, but it wasn't too promising when in the new article a spokesperson for the DFS stated, " we still don't consider them the Air Traffic Control union, but we will now sit down and talk with them."

Good luck

Scott
