CIPWM,

I think you'll find that there are four NATS area centres.

Terminal Control (London) at West Drayton is the missing one, and provides area services as well as approach.

:O

Any truth in the rumour that Maastricht ACC is being privatised and that NATS and DFS are interested? :ok:

ferris 27th Mar 2004 08:53

N.A.T.S.

North American Training Section.

Unless the rumour about Canada ceasing poaching is true.

Lon More 27th Mar 2004 16:05

Minesapint DFS is definitely interested, NATS might be interested, but would probably have staff problems :hmm:

Minesapint 27th Mar 2004 17:54

Lon More - Just something I overheard the other day from a colleague that works there......

Why would NATS have staff problems?

:D "Radio and Television Activities" - so they really do sit round watching telly and listening to the radio then.

However, with an address in Soho, I can guess that the programe content is strictly adult! :D :D

Well, we all know it's the world's best video game now........isn't it!

Lon More 28th Mar 2004 09:27

Minesapint Reading some other threads, I think staff at Maastricht are more militant than in the UK. Would NATS management be able to cope?:hmm:

TrafficTraffic 28th Mar 2004 09:35

Not militant - just more expressive..

Lon you'd have to come back and help us train all the NATS staff to do ATC, reckon it might be a long contract too!

:ouch:

Minesapint 29th Mar 2004 06:27

Lon More - point taken. Especially difficult ones like 'Traffic Traffic' but he is way beyond the help of management! Or anyone else for that matter........

Can current Maastricht management contain the more militant element?

Arran's view 29th Mar 2004 09:00

Maastricht ........hmmm .... another Band 4 unit might be useful.
