ATSA's

Can anyone guide me as to what qualifications are required to become an ATSA whether with NATS or at an airport with its own ATC unit e.g Bristol, Newcastle etc.?

What are the average pay and conditions like?

Also, is there an opportunity to become an Air Traffic Controller or would you have to self fund it?

Thanks in advance

ATC Assistant employment

ATSA vacancies at West Drayton
There is an EXTERNAL recruitment being done at the moment for ATSA 1 simulator drivers at the London Terminal Control Centre.

This usually leads on to operational ATSA posts as vacancies occur.

Suggest you phone the human resources dept at West Drayton for more details.

Other ATC units have vacancies from time to time, suggest you write to the ATC Manager at whatever units you would be prepared to work at.

Entry requirements are 4 "O" levels or their modern equivalent, some accept a knowledge of Air Traffic, eg in RAF, in lieu.

Good Luck.
