What will the effect on regulations passed by EASA have, when Brexit comes? Will everything have to be changed back to the old national licensing/laws, or does it continue as here in Iceland and Norway?

Everything that is applicable in EU law at the point of the UK's exit from the EU will be carried over into UK law. Apparently, once we're a few years down the line after we leave, the CAA and government will seek to review what is in place and determine whether they wish to begin to apply the normal "We're British and we know best" tinkering that we have done in the past with ICAO requirements....

....however, the big question is whether they (UK CAA) would be be granted adequate resource to be able to do that.

the magic number of passengers required before CAS will be given is not known
40-50 passengers a day seems to have been enough at Farnborough recently.

When I worked there we had flights with 80 odd passengers on board every weekday in addition to smaller bizjet flights so I don't know where you get 40 - 50 per day..

Max Angle’s approximation of 40-50 a day is significantly more accurate than 80 odd.

I said '80 odd' because the aircraft used was configured for 85 pax and was usually full or pretty near.
There were also flights carrying more than this number but only 3 or 4 times per year hence I didn't bother to mention them but passenger throughput is definitely far more than 50 per day.

Do the BAE flights not count? Is that what you're referring to Chevvron?

The BAe flight now uses an Embraer, not sure how many it carries, but the '146 which preceded it was always full; that twice a day plus the Vickers flight twice a day easily exceed 50 pax/day on their own before you add the bizjet passengers.
Obviously the figures submitted with the ACP exceeded the minimum number required by the DfT for the establishment of CAS.
