Forget that Leggs, what about the all important tea kitty. You can do a lot to a man but taking away his hot tea flavoured beverage is a new low.

Filton approach at Lulsgate

Can't see it myself. It might make operational (radar) sense but why would Filton contract out their approach in the next few months having only just signed a three year contract with somebody else to do it? I can see all kinds of financial and litigious reasons against it. Imagin the premium any outside agency would put on the contract plus the cost of still providing 5 or 6 tower only controllers to cover a 7 day a week operation. Nah, Filton is a 'don't spend the money' kind of airfield - hardly likely to go for a more expensive option are they!

Of the eight controllers at Filton, I've heard that two will be remaining serco and one has a job lined up elsewhere, in adition to the one going to Cardiff. Looks like this new provider might have their work cut out to provide a service! Is it going to be like VT at Wattisham a couple of years back all over again?

Apparently it has been roumered that its to climates a tad colder / wetter / darker /and some would say a lot more windier.

which begs the question is it by choice or is "ma'am" wielding a broom?

re: broom,

not sure about wielding! maybe flying!

colder, wetter, darker, windier? Bristol would take some beating, especially after the last couple of days!

actually to be honest, ma'am has been taking a bit of a back seat on this one, not been seen nor heard from since the announcement was made

I gather someone has a job lined up at BJ should his terms not be improved soon after the changeover Following recent postings elsewhere not sure whether that means matspart3 needs his head checked though tick, tick, tick, boooom!

Lets see... we get free tea and coffee, free meals during your shift, free transport to and from work, two weeks off every month, a paid-for christmas piss up and a free diary!
Might have a vacancy coming up..... PM me if you have twr/app/apr or whatever they call them now. But be warned, there is a slight catch.......

Well that may be all fine and dandy Legs, but there could be problems starting at Chester soon with controllers looking at opportunities just over the mersey

RP -- Oh no!! Don`t tell me all the crazy people have been sent back to the mainland!!

Banana -- Chester comes highly recommended, good part of the country and a good place to work.

I think the Filton ATCO who claims to have a job lined up at BJ may be incorrect

I don't think there'll be a problem filling in at Chester - enough excess elsewhere to more than cover
