Jobs in LPL?

I am a NATS trained controller with a valid tower licence in a NATS unit and a not yet valid radar endorsement. Are there any job opportunities in Liverpool tower? I don't have a problem with NATS, my issue is location. Thanks!

You could use your initiative and actually ask Liverpool directly instead of posting on here.

Doubt that: all the ex NATS guys I know at Liverpool are more than happy with their choice, balanced against what NATS had in mind for them. For the OP, PM me - with the way things are going you could be trampled in the rush...

Cool

How about a holiday in Gibraltar? You might even get a radar endorsement thrown in for free!

There's a job going at EGNR but I guess you'll need an approach rating.

Believe me you won't have any regrets about moving for location. On a VATSL salary and living in the northwest you'll prob be better off financially too unless a transfer to Manchester was possible...

HD, different company now than 11 years ago. However having worked for both SERCO and NATS I know which is the better company!!

That said, I would never discourage anyone from leaving NATS and doing something different, working for a different ANSP provider is a good experience, and
can lead onto other jobs and helps you personally develop as both a controller and a person.

NATS tends to be very insolar in its thoughts and views.

Go for it.

11 years retired is a long time and nobody will regret chucking away NATS these days...believe me.

I didn't only work for NATS. I worked for IAL abroad, on-State in the UK and when I joined "NATS" it was the Civil Service Min of Aviation.

His lack of validation on LL approach wasn't down to lack of ability. He left for his own personal reasons and I don't doubt he would likely have validated had he stayed. His was a good course on the TVC and he was nice bloke, hope he's doing well at LPL.

Heathrow's loss was my gain. Great guy and good Controller. And Congratulations to another ex NATS ATCO who validated yesterday.
