This is madness, your lack of knowledge on our fam flight process is indicative of your lack of knowledge of what goes on. If you are not familiar with this then what are you familiar with? You rhetoric is wonderful but baseless as you have no clue what is ACTUALLY happening at the units. For you to then discuss this over coffee with pilots is anything but irresponsible. I attack you cos you are attacking a unit that is getting on with business, as a controller you are implying that me and my team are useless. You blatantly indicate you have no idea of our our fam flight process yet know everything else, what a joke.

Point well taken Tubegreaser...I do not know of your fam flight process so I apologise. As a fellow GAL employee, I would hope for all of our sakes that you and your team are getting on with business, and no I have never implied that you or your team are useless, quite to the contrary. You have taken this as a personal assault which could not be further from the truth. The facts speak for themselves. Not coffee shop chit chats with pilots. Review the ROSI statistics that indicate that atc is attributable to a large percentage of these incidents involving all GAL operated civil units, including yours. A proactive group would regularly brief on these to be aware of what, why, when and how to avoid the same mistakes. To ignore these is to put your head in the sand and hope everything is okie dokie in the atc world. Come on, you have been around long enough to know that isn't the professional way to do business (except in this corner of the world which continues to get busier by the week). Our customer demands that we provide them with highest level quality of ats services everyday.

If you say you are doing everything right then you don't have anything to be concerned about, and this blog shouldn't really bother you. Just keep in mind that "your unit" belongs to GAL and the organizational charts reflect this and not an independent colony that some may believe is true.

C ya!

I think we are getting somewhere, apology accepted. We have to file quite a lot of ROSIs, agreed but not sure how many are atc attributable, will have to talk to the wise men of the 4th floor. We are getting feedback though, a lessons learned notice has been issued on various occasions based on previous incidents and I hear we are going to have safety training days. Not sure what we get taught there but it's supposed to be a full day outing away from the unit. Things are happening, it would be worth your while to spend some time with us.

This thread has been returned with a few edits or deletions.

Please try and keep attacks on individuals (either named or easily identifiable)out of it, as by doing so you open up yourselves and PPRuNe to possible legal actions if the individuals being attacked take it personally and decide to take matters further. It also breaches the rules of this website.

Similarly, if attacking a company or organisation, carefully consider whether your claims have any verifiable evidence in the public domain. If not, then you might end up on the wrong side of an argument where your pockets are not as deep as theirs and they will think nothing of calling in the legal Rottweilers. This has already happened in the case of a Middle Eastern Airline, whose name PPRuNe no longer allows to have any bandwidth here, since their legal threats have brought nothing but trouble.

With those thoughts in mind, please carry on the debate.

Thanks
