Anyone working there to give us some more information?
How are the working conditions, additional allowances etc?

Would an EU validated controller with past experience have a chance at this job considering that they need caa validation?

Thanks,
Efty

'Standard' HIAL T & Cs:- Hours 40 gross, 35 net working, 32.5* Days AL +8 PHs. * start figure is less. Pension scheme

At HIAL SYY/EGPO additional allowances are paid for MET Obs, OJTI, Shifts (no night shifts) @12.5% on base pay, PHs, and Sats & Sun working premiums. Plus O/T for any hours worked in excess of gross hours.
Apart from the MET allowance which resulted from the closure of MET offices, nearly all T&Cs were inherited from CAA.

Procedural APP in Class F & G airspace.

Can't comment if you apply and don't quite have what they ask for on the tin!

efty: assumimg you have an ATCO Licence issued in Cyprus, that wouldn't be valid in the UK unless you have an Assessment of Prior Competence (APC) at an approved college of ATS in the UK.
Why would you want to work in northern Scotland instead of Cyprus any way? Given the chance I'd definitely prefer Cyprus.

Angry

Assuming he/she is an ATCO at LCA/PFO who knows with the government reforms for the Cyprus economy if job cuts are not on the cards? I would have thaught so. Cyprus is excessively top heavy on civil servants which is what the country need to cut down. However, Stornoway will pay a pittance compared to what our colleagues earn in Cyprus.
