Air Traffic Control Tower or Center Visit

Hello,

I have been informed that I passed 2nd stage of NATS recuitment proccess and have been invited to the 3rd stage.
I would like to know if there is any ATC here who could invite me to his/her work place so I can see how this work looks like from inside.

It does not matter where as long as it is in UK.

Let me add that I am from Poland and have not chosen the 3rd stage date as of yet. I would like to schedule a visit to the airprt tower or a center 1st then book the date few days after.

Is there anyone who could help me with that or advise how I can make this happen? meanwhile staying positive

Give them a call, or write them a letter. I wouldn't try Heathrow or Gatwick or airports on that scale because they're probably too busy to take people in for tours like that(open to correction on that one btw). Good luck!

open invitation accepted...

Hey there,

I have my 3rd stage on the 7th July and have just visited Swanwick and Heathrow (Mon/Tue).
With Heathrow I was escorted to the tower and then left up there to plug into all the different stations to listen in.

Everyone was really really helpful, answering all my questions, even though I'd ask the same things a few times (when I'd seen how it all fitted together and wanted to make sure I was getting it right)!

If you're going through HRServices with nats - email them! they'll help. Or do it the hard way, like I did and use a hundred different numbers, only to be put through to HRServices anyway!!

Jason at Swanwick was great, loads of patience and really understanding - it's great to bounce your knowledge off someone who knows more than you before the interviews.

Good luck.
