FAA slots?
Hi,
I'm trying to find some information about FAA slots.
All I know is that it differs from CFMU (Eurocontrol) slots,
what is quite well described and docu is published on web.
Searching FAA webpages I've found nothing what would explain
me how does it works, what is the messages format, msgs flow, etc.
May I ask you for some basics about that or link to any description?
Thx in advance, rgds,
Dino

Dino,
Did you say slots ?
"Slots" on my blog
Here's the place to start.
The U.S. Code (i.e THE LAW)
It is, of course, legal mumbo jumo but it is the law.
The "High Density Rule" (cited above) is the only slot program I am aware of. After that, it's the FAA Command Center working in "collaboration" with the airlines to cut flights when things get backed up enough to where it's too late.
I've been studying this issue since I retired. If I can help, just holler.
Don Brown
P.S. Infernal software. It won't accept a link to my blog. Google this:
+"Get the Flick" +"Don Brown"
Once you get to my blog do a "search" (on the top left) for -- slots I think it took the link to the U.S. Code. The link is a mile long so if it didn't, email me and I'll get it to you.
