Nice job mate, for the group activity they aren't looking for perfection. As long as you communicated well and never stopped trying to solve your problem, that's what they are looking for.
After I gave them my references it was still about 6 weeks until they called with my offer. And at that time they only had a rough time frame for when the course would start, and even then it still got pushed back by 3 months. So the waiting game isn't over yet haha but the reference check should mostly be a formality.

Congrats! Hopefully we start seeing more of these soon. I received an email today saying "Your application remains active, and we’ll be in touch soon with timelines and all the details you’ll need for next steps" and it goes further with different information. Did you receive one of these before?

Excited for you Emily!
I also received that email. Anyone else joining one of the info sessions? I’m gonna join the 17:30 tomorrow (Thursday 16th)

I'm booked in for the May info session - I'm on a double overnight (tonight into tomorrow and tomorrow into Fri) so I'll be asleep at 1 and working at 5.30

I have not heard anything regarding AC for me. Which is good at this stage. Should be back in time if I get an invite today and your 2-week timeline is anything to go by.
Best of luck emilynws and any other Melburnians going in next week!

With Emilynws getting an AC invite I thought we would see more people discussing it. I didn't receive one but I'm from a later cohort than Emilynws, so hopefully I get in the next one.

Back when I did my AC in Sep they said that they were trying to ramp up to one AC every month. At the same time they are restructuring the en-route course to make it smaller class sizes but more focused on where your final field training will be like. i.e surveillance or non-survelliance. Would assume the same would be for tower stream with radar and non-radar.

WA Tower
Hi all! Just wondering if anyone would have knowledge of if the WA tower only opening would be advertised again in the near future?
To my knowledge it was advertised once last December. Would be hard to imagine they hire all they need in one round of recruitment…
I missed out due to personal circumstances so would keen to know if there will be another round..
Cheers

Good news!
Got an ad hoc invitation to attend the AC earlier this week, and received reference check request today!
I have to say I did badly in the group assessment and did not expect this will progress further.
Thank you for all the sharings here, have been very helpful! Good luck to those waiting for the AC invitation!

Hi All! A colleague showed me this website/thread after I told them I'd made it through the ASA testing, thought I'd share my situation here. I had my AC in Sydney in late March, and after reference checks in April I received a suitability(?) email about a week and a half ago. I'm waiting for them to finalise courses before they can progress the application for medical and ASIC. Rumors have it that the next courses after July are in October, would be neat to see if some of you are in the same boat.
I'm a Kiwi, so I've also been through the full testing with Airways in NZ. The testing process is the exact same, as ASA adopted the process from Airways about a year ago. Might be worth a consideration if you don't mind the move. The difference is that the Kiwis treat the training like a uni course; $14k NZD course cost, no pay until first placement, and no guaranteed job at the end. I received an offer for training with Airways, but turned them down in favour of ASA - the move is far worth it against the liability of Airways training costs.

Hello peeps!
I wanted to attend the info session that happened yesterday but it was full when I tried to register a while ago. I've heard there might have been a link to the recording but I cant see if ASA has uploaded it anywhere. Does anyone have a link to the recording?
I was also wondering if anyone who has been through this process (or is further along) can tell me how long they had to wait after doing the behavioural test in round 3?
I'm also curious on how stream allocation is done, do we get much choice in the matter?

Hi Team,
I am part of cohort 1 2026 according to airservices website.
Just received an email saying I passed online testing and will have a phone screen call but no confirmed date yet.
Anyone else in this boat?
