I have checked my emails including the spam folder, and I don't see anything more recent than the congratulatory email from passing the 1st stage assessments from early July.
Yeah it's usually about a month or two between stages. Overall the process takes about 6 months, so patience is key haha. If you want you can login into your application portal online and see the current status.

Well, this is already month 3 since I submitted my application, and I've only been through one of the stages. Might be a longer wait for me haha.

My application portal status hasn't changed since the end of June. It just says "online testing complete". I contacted Avrecruit via email and they confirmed they're still going through potential applicants. There must be quite a few this year.

Hey mate, just checking to see if you have had any progress after the Xref check. I did the AC in Syd last friday and got the email from Xref yesterday. So just trying to see how long of a wait it will be after that. Airservices did mention that when they get enough trainees for a stream then they can start organizing class dates so maybe they were waiting for Sydney to finish to see how many they get.

Congrats on getting the AC done; I received a verbal offer about 2 weeks ago for early 2026 (conditional on medical and security of course ).

In total it was about 1 week between AC and XREF, then just over 1 month from submitting references to getting the phone call.

Current Applicants

Has anyone recently applied? It seems the testing has been broken up into 3 different sections now. Patiently waiting after completing the third.

Yeah I completed round one which was the detail accuracy and coded reasoning and waiting for next round if I progress. Just wondering how many questions were you able to complete? I only managed to complete 33 questions for coded reasoning and not sure if that meets the minimum requirement.

I managed to get up to 40 on the coded reasoning. When did you finish it?

I finished it 3 days ago and its due on Monday this week. Wow 40 question, I started really slow but started pick up as I progressed but it was too late. I wish they had some practice questions that we can prepare before we initiate the test link. Was this your first attempt? Were you able to find something similar online before you attempted it?

I had completed the test before so had a little bit of an idea, last time I only got up to 32. This time I knew I would run out of time so just had a good night sleep, got into the zone and pounded it out as quickly as I could.... hopefully it was accurate!

I just tried to be as accurate as possible and everytime the difficulty went up I was getting little shocks in my brain hehe but yeah just nervous waiting now. How long did you had to wait for round 2 confirmation? or rejection(on your first go).

The very first time I did the testing it was all seven tests at once, this time around it was broken up into three groups and I found out about the next lot the day following when I had to complete it by.

I'm not sure if getting the second lot of tests means I passed the first. I can never tell.

Yeah it's very unclear about the process. I am guessing they broken up the tests into 3 rounds because they wanted to filter out the applicants as they progressed but no way to know I guess. It's been 2 days since due date and no reply for me so I am guessing I didn't make it

Sit tight dude I think they progressed you for a reason and hopefully you'll get an invite to assessment center!!

Hi all! Long time lurker, first time poster. I applied last year but was unsuccessful (personally I think it was the radar simulation).

I have also just completed my third round of online testing. I assume that you would not receive an invite to the next round of testing if you were unsuccessful, but only time will tell.

Timeline so far (for anyone curious):
4th July - Submitted online application
1st September - Round 1 invite (detail accuracy, coded reasoning)
9th September - Round 2 invite (short-term memory, remembering relationships, spatial reasoning, radar simulation)
16th September - Round 3 invite (behavioural traits)
29th September - Online testing update (i.e. The testing period has now closed, and our team is working diligently to finalise the outcomes.)

Could you guys give some insight on round 2 assessment?

Short-term memory
Remembering relationships
Spatial reasoning
Radar simulation.

What kind of structure or format is it? I don't want to be shocked like round 1.

Our timelines are very similar! I am hoping that not getting a rejection message is a positive sign. Fingers crossed.

It seems like it is very difficult getting very far the first time you apply. Hopefully we can all make it through!

I just finished the Round 2 testing. How would you say your results were for you to be able to progress to round 3?

I definitely made a few mistakes in the short term memory, got 100% in 'remembering relationships', pressed the wrong key a few times with spacial reasoning, and had a few collisions in the radar sim, especcially in the maths round. Do you think this would still place me within the margin to progress?

Cheers

I feel like I went okay for all of them. I kept hitting the wrong key on the 'remembering relationships' and I had more collisions than I would like to admit on the radar sim (I accidentally turned the numpad off on two sequences) but would have to wait and see. I assume receiving a round 3 invite means it was good enough.

Hey, I'm also a part of the process, but I first applied back in May. My timeline is as follows:

9th May - Submitted online application
2nd June - Round 1 invite
10th June - Round 2 invite
17th June - Round 3 invite
2nd July - Notification of success in stage one testing.

So expect quite a wait haha, as I haven't heard anything since then.

Thanks for the heads up - at the very least I hope we get confirmation that we passed stage one soon. I'm in the last trimester of my degree, so a long wait won't bother me hahaha

But gosh that's a long time to wait for stage two
