Smile Stage 3 Fri 19th Feb

I’ve got my stage 3 interview at 8:15 next Friday at Swanwick centre just wondering if anyone else is going to be there? If we have a team exercise to do it might be good to know a few people beforehand good luck to anyone going or has just gone through it

game

I found this game on-line, whether it is of much help or not I don't know. Anyone who has sat a stage two day recently care to comment??

hey,

that game has nothing to do with stage 2. As far as I know stage 2 at NATS is almost the same like at EUROCONTROL (FEAST + some "flash games") and there is no such "radar controlling" or like that.

Stage 2 Advice

No you don’t have anything like that at stage 2 if you’re looking for some revision have a look at flight progress strips, how they are set out, what each part means etc trust me it will be a big help. Also brushing up on mental maths is a must as you need to do many quick calculations. Most of the test is having coloured shapes appear and you have to press the button that corresponds to its shape or colour e.g. a red circle pops up and you have to press red, but then they throw in things like sort triangles as red so if a blue triangle pops up you need to press red etc things like that so finding any game that works your reaction time is useful as you literally have about 1 second to respond. The thing is the test is one of those were you either have the skills to do it or not. Also if you walk out of there thinking you failed don’t worry because apparently everyone does (I felt like I might as well not bother carrying on in the afternoon because I thought I had done so badly in the morning but I got through)

Just a quick question for those who sat theirs 2nd stage already.

Is passport sufficient form of identification or you still need to provide couple of the others they have listed in the invitation.

It clearly says that you need to bring either passport or two of the other documents, so I'm taking it as the passport is enough, but I just want to make sure .

Hope you don't mind, cheers.

Yes a passport is best that is all you need. They will take it off you to get a quick photocopy of it while you are doing a test. As you said if you don’t have your passport you will need 2 forms of other identification. Though in my stage 2 one person just had a driving licence and that seemed to be fine too.

Stage 2

There really isn't a lot of specific prep you can do for stage 2. The day is full of various different types of computer test, each one unique, and unless you have practiced the specific tests before (which you can't) I don't think there is a lot you can do in preparation to boost your performance. It really is a matter of either you can do it or you can't!

Although you can't practice the specific tests you will encounter at stage 2 one thing that might be helpful would be just to play lots of general different computer games. If you practice lots of games on websites such as www.addictinggames.com this might help increase how quickly and efficiently you are able to pick up new computer based tasks and challenges - thus helping you to pick up the tasks you have to perform in the tests more efficiently as well.

Here are a couple of games I played before stage 2. None of them are anything like the actual tests, but they might help you develop similar strengths:

Multitask | Armor Games
I Love Traffic | Armor Games
ATC-SIM: a web-based air traffic control simulator
DACHSER Global Player Reloaded

Booking Stage 3?

I got sent dates for stage 3 but can't make any of them! Can I e-mail H.R to get a later date? If not i'm going to have to cancel a holiday at great expence and let family down.

Thanks for all the advice given out over the last months. I will try and repay all the site by giving answers to anything I might know

stage 2 tests

Hi

When are people going for their stage two testing??

I have mine on the 1st March, and thinking it will be good to get to know people before getting there, and having someone to talk to on the breaks.

King 33 -

I had to do this too. I just emailed them to let them know the situation and they told me not to worry and to keep checking the link for new dates. I think they put a little note on your account to say that you're awaiting booking a stage 3 and they won't delete you then.

Can you please help me in understanding. I applied for my ATC last week. I passed the application process and I am called to the first interview. Iv booked it for 31st march. I was also asked to do this online test. This was a killer test. I did really bad in the calculation test. Did you do the same? What does the next stage invovle? Im pannicing

the calculation test was like
123x3-?= the answer. I had to work out the question marks. It was just too crazy, There were no options given,. I had to work it out within 18 seconds. I deffinately failed it, but they wont tell you until I come to the 1st assessment day. Has anyone been through this?

has anyone got throught after they have done their online tet after the application process?

Shirt and tie isn't a must. Jeans and jumper etc are fine, smart casual is the dress code.

When I did my stage 1 in October i think it lasted a few hours just, not too long.
