Serco's crumbling empire - part 2

I am reliably informed that Chris Stock has resigned, apparently to join Marshall Aerospace new Airports & ATC Consultancy division.

Would the last one out the Hook office please switch off the lights....

Re: Serco's crumbling empire - part 2

Yep! CS has gone. Marshall's Highlands and Islands is whispered as his new nesting ground.
Probably more important is the resignation of JW, SERCO Group's Head of Industrial Relations. Apparently he told SERCO's CEO he was fed up with working for a Mickey Mouse company. All to do with an almighty HR/Disciplinary cock-up by SERCO in the run-up to handing over the Gibraltar contract to NATS. The only people to come out of this developing saga with any credit are CS and JW. Both have had the balls to tell the truth and stick by their principles. Unfortunately, both have been overruled by a new broom at SERCO Defence and Aerospace, who is obviously putting corporate convenience and profit before safety, and adherence to company codes of discipline. He has handed NATS a poisoned chalice, and it remains to be seen whether they bite the bullet, or shovel the sh*t downwards to land at the coalface.
If CS or JW are reading this, your efforts are very much appreciated by all the staff. At least you've given us three months of hope, and a period of superb morale. Best of luck for the future.

Sad to see the old IAL empire crumbling because of the bean counters.
Was told by an ex IAL controller on 'gardening leave' about 10 years ago that SERCO only wanted IAL for the money in its pension scheme. He was on gardening leave because, as a trustee, he wouldn't let 'em have it!
