And there was me assuming that I could finish off my JAA Atpl's and CPL/IR over here get really really lucky land a jet job in a low cost carrier then when I am ready to "retire" back home go back to little ole NZ, buy my block of land and fly for Air NZ. Seems like that idea might have to go on hold. Still dreams are free!

What happened? Sounds like a great idea to me mate. As a matter of fact, it sounds very very familiar to me. Are you in the middle of exams and blew a couple or you have got through that stage but can't get a job?:eek: :confused: :{

Ooops,
This was meant to be tagged onto another thread about transferring from JAA to a NZ ATPL, but clearly my IT skills let me down and I set up a new one!
Am about to embark on the exams, doing the modular route whilst working and fitting in hour building "holidays" to the US for accumulating the much needed time.
how long have you been away?
