I've recently returned from Holiday and have some serious security concerns about the Airport I flew back from.
These concerns are
An un attended Open gate from landside to the Fuel Farm
No security fencing whatsoever between the road and the new Runway extension (Not to mention the wild dogs wandering the apron)
Non passengers wandering down to the ramp from the Arrivals hall to meet people
A Baggage screener chatting on his mobile phone with his back to the screen.
So who can I tell and why has no one else done it already?

Probably best to not report it at all. Just wait until you get home then stick it on the internet for all the World to see.

Probably the best start is to report it to the management of your company. Stressing the fact that you feel concerned about the overhall security of this airport and the potential threats incured. Maybe expressing concern for your Own safety as well as your passengers's should be enough to press your management to address this issue with the airport's authority / governments bodies.....
I assumed you were a pilot, If not. You may want to contact the airline you flew with..........

Sounds suspiciously like Bassaneo-Bucharest to me. Oh the joys of Britten-Norman delivery flights.
Seriously, if you are a pilot, I'd go to BALPA or IALPA who maintain blacklists and put pressure on local authorities to sort their act out.
If you were a pax, then IATA would be the obvious people, they've got a lot of clout and a vested interest in rocking the boat where safety, comfort and security of international passengers are concerned.

Thanks everyone IATA it is.
Pub User: Point Taken, but, please note that I did not name the airport on purpose however I did'nt expect people to speculate either?
These days the daily mail appears to view itself as the protectors of airport virtue!

IATA has little or no direct authority against an airport, civil aviation authority and/or its' oversight of security staff. All they can possibly do is warn fellow IATA operators of the possible shortfalls.
1. The local national CAA, although as in the UK responsibility for aviation security may rest with another agency/ministry.
2. The FAA, as if the country concerned has its' own carriers flying to the USA or US carriers are flying from this country they will come under a security and safety oversight program from the USA and the FAA will act accordingly to investigate and correct.
3. The best option - The carrier you were travelling on, to make a complaint/report and take appropriate action direct with the airport concerned. They are at the front end, are directly affected by these laxes and hold the 'economic' stick to ensure action is taken...

Ah the illusion of complete security only lies the in the PERFECT WORLD or the FIRST WORLD. The rest of us in the 2nd and 3rd Worlds dont even bother with the illusion. I sense you have seen the other side and have become allarmed. This fear will subside in you, and you will forget all about it soon enough as has the rest of the FIRST WORLD has aswell:yuk: :\ :( :{
What Im getting at is the Culture and Standard if living in other countries directly relates to the Security at Airports. Do I sound nuts?
Well take for example a security guard at my Airport, in the Caribbean. They have a year ten education and poor communication skills. They are paid in the order of $160.oo U S dollars a month, yes a month . Do you think these people have been trained properly? Do you think these people dedicated themsleves to their Jobs in the same way as their First World counterparts?Do you think that these individuals given half a chance to feed their Families would try to add some easy cash to their budget by OVERLOOKING certain individuals and or Companies. Ill let you be the judge of this. Security or lack there of is not confined to a few but a multidude of other countries.
So what happens next? The airlines dont travel to these countries?
It get backs to the FIRST WORLD and the REST or the HAVES and the HAVE NOTS doesnt it?
Food for thought
REPORT IT TO IATA ? WHY? They are another Toothless TIGER as is ICAO. Its like reporting a robbery to the Cops, it all over bar the shouting!
