Can anyone provide any further details about the BA 767 that made an emergency landing at Heathrow this evening due to an electrical problem?

We were told it was smoke in the cabin. Only after it had landed did we learn that it was also an overweight landing.

Parked on 404, no incident.

It landed at 20.00Z on R/W 09R as a full emergency. Pilot sounded like he had O2 mask on, so could very well be smoke.

according to Reuters,

A plane carrying 117 passengers has made a safe emergency landing at Heathrow airport after apparently developing an electrical fault, airport officials say.

The British Airways Boeing 767 was around 30 minutes into its flight to the Tanzanian capital Dar Es Salaam when crew members and passengers smelled burning in the cockpit and cabin. A warning light indicated an electrical fault.

Flight BA 047 returned to Heathrow and landed safely around 45 minutes later. The plane taxied to the terminal building and passengers disembarked without the use of emergency slides.
