Our company has announced the order of 2 A330-200's, to replace ageing A310's.
As we already operate a fly-by-wire fleet, could you share how your company handles a mixed fleet operation A330-A320's.
Secondly, by having a mixed fleet op, what effect did this have on seniority and crew requirements.

About a three Sim' session course.Alternate
IFR/PPC each year to demo' competency..Once the firm's get more than couple of the other kind(330/320),it's easier to maintain the crews type specific! it's too much trouble if the guys aren't going to fly each type regularly

My company operates the -200 and -300 along with A319/320/321. Although CCQ approved the company doesn't rate the crews on the 320 onto the 330 and vice-versa.....Strange cos AIH seem to have got the right idea !

Just a question regarding CCQ and Airbus aircraft.

Can a pilot who flies A319/A320/A321 also fly A330/A340 providing the suitable training has been completed?

If so, which operators do this?

Cheers,
BCB

We do CCQ on the A319/20/21 and the A330.
Minimum of 15 months on the A320 required before starting the transition course.
All tech theory is done with a CD-ROM course by Airbus. ETOPS for newbies in classes.
Thereafter 5 sim sessions à 3:50 hrs. and a flight training with 5-6 landings.
Then 3 rotations with approx. 8 landings. Last one is the final check.

back course bandit,

Austrian Airlines have some pilots who fly all of them, 320/330/340, for evaluation purposes about the pro's and con's for both company and pilots.

This Airbus is o.k., but why did it come with a RENAULT key ??
