Canadian Press CHC wins $24.1 million in helicopter services contracts in southeast Asia
ST. JOHN'S, Nfld. (CP) - CHC Helicopter Corp. has won contracts in southeast Asia that will generate more than $24.1 million in revenues for the Newfoundland aircraft services company.
CHC said Wednesday it had won a five-year contract renewal to supply helicopter services to French oil giant Total in southeast Asia. The contract with Total Exploration and Production Co. will generate revenue of $18.8 million over the period.
CHC has worked for Total in southeast Asia for the last ten years.
In addition, CHC won deals with Daewoo International and Premier Petroleum that will add $5.3 million in revenues.
CHC is the world's biggest provider of heavy and medium helicopter services to the global offshore oil and gas industry, with aircraft operating in 23 countries and a workforce of about 2,500.
