Amid all the lay-offs and bad stories around, there is some good news :
ICAO sees traffic growth resuming in 2004

After two years of stagnation and a year of decline, world airline industry passenger traffic (RPKs) will grow 4.4% in 2004--finally exceeding the traffic level reached in 2000, according to ICAO's latest forecast.
Airlines belonging to ICAO member states generated 3.02 trillion RPKs in 2000. This fell to 2.93 trillion in 2001 and rose slightly to 2.94 trillion in 2002. Traffic will be flat this year and is expected to reach 3.07 trillion RPKs in 2004, rising to 3.26 trillion in 2005, up 6.3% over 2004.
