How many fighters in a IDF fighter squadron?

A friend suggested 18 but someone else thought it was 12.

Anyone got a definitive answer?

Yes. There is no definitive answer.

It varies even among F-16 units according to sub-type, role, reserve commitments and whether or not you count in use reserves.
