Are there any flying schools or flying clubs in or around Gold Coast area. Any help will be great I would love to have a fly-in holiday in Australia.

Coolangatta Airport has various flying schools. The aero club used to have a/c but is now just a watering hole. There is also a private airstrip with aero club to the north of Surfers. Can't remember the name of it though.
There used to be a great airstrip close to Surfers Paradise. It was in the middle of the Surfers racetrack and was the closest airstrip to Surfers. I think it's closed now. :{ :*
The airstrip at the Gold Coast is at SOUTHPORT. This is however a private strip and need permission to land. Probably your best bet would be to go to Archerfield in Brisbans south. There are numerous flying schools that you could hire aircraft from. From there it is only 20min flight to YSCG!
