Hi,

im flying to LCPH (Paphos) this year with Air 2000 from Exeter. I haven't flown much out of EGTE before (flight sim) and I was just wondering whether they use SID's and STAR's?

Or whether they have points where they join controlled airspace?

Thanks.

I don't know the answer to your question, but I have flown from EXT several times and it's a nice little airport. My most recent trip was to JER and back aboard BE DH8 outward and 146 back. Enjoy your trip. :)

pilot_will,

There are no SIDS for EGTE- most departures for Greece and Turkey will depart EGTE and join controlled airspace at GIBSO and then join airway UR8. Again for the arrival back into Exeter there are no STAR's so the normal arrival is also from GIBSO then radar vectors to whichever runway is in use. There is also a new procedure if runway 08 is in use which is to fly a 12 DME arc based on EX ndb untill you pick up the ILS for rwy 08, this procedure is mainly used for arrival's from the north west or from the south west.

hope this help's

regards
