Apologies if this has been discussed before, but new to this ppruning lark. Is anyone out there able to recommend a loss of flying pay insurance scheme to replace the soon to be no more Payguard policy?

This is by no means a recommendation, but I was sent the details when I got wind of the demise of Payguard :

Airguard Loss of Flying Pay Insurance (available through affinitas [www.affinitas.com or 0800 316 1 317]. Premiums are age based and can only take cover up to 49 years of age. The limit on sum assured is 4 times flying pay with a maximum of £50K, whichever is the less. There is no cover against war risks! Rough annual premiums (per £10K of cover) as follows :

Up to 29 years of age : £50.72
30 - 34 : £72.45
35 - 39 : £102.59
40 - 44 : £160.55
45 - 49 : £241.50

Personally I think the premiums are a tad high but each to their own. Hope it helps.

You could try Sevices Insurance Solutions for their Pay Shield scheme: tel 08451080435.
