A few overnights in DXB coming up Aug-Nov.....I hear there are a few intrepid kite surfers at EK?

Any top tips on spots, winds (so I can bring only 1 kite). What about Muscat...any action down there?

In general, whats the best season/months for consistent wind?

Jungly,
Bring the biggest kite you own. I have a 20, 14 and 8. Use the 20 about 95% of the time, the 14 about 4% and the 8 rarely indeed.
The summer months see a 10 knot sea breeze just after lunch, sometimes more but often less. It is also 40 something degrees and the sand is so hot many a newbie have popped their leading edges when setting up or resting.
Unfortunately you must be licensed by the Municipality to kite here for insurance reasons etc. Not sure how visitors fare.
The kite beach is the Wooloongong Uni beach - all taxi drivers should know it.
Have fun, see you at the beach.
