A picture tells a thousand words !

WIN Helicopters , Francois Marais, Arthur Bradstreet and co .. politics excluded, you guys are doing a wonderfull job in the Waterfront.

A professional team, doing a professional job what people (like me) love ... seeing a beautiful restored bird, restored to pristine condition, flown for the enjoyment of all.

Many thanks for the "horing" .. it does not want to go away ! :p

Oh my God .. that sound - a HUEY really sounds like THAT boys and girls ! :E

Ok ignore my grey hair for a moment on concentrate on the view ORCAaaaa, 4HP , Bert .. BAKELA ;)

:ok: GUNS jou windgat! How did you manage to get a ride in the Huey?:D

Anyway, from the pictures she looks in great shape? With you risking your life in it for 30 minutes, one must then assume that the adverse publicity given to it by the opposition initially, is not correct. I must say that I have not read anything bad about the Huey for a long time. Saw recently that she has flown damn nearly 260 hours and 3000 pax. Remarkable! Guns, you must tell us more. I will not be in CPT today to attend the pprune bash, but I'm sure you will write us your report tomorrow.:ok:

Cheers to you all in FACT!

I'm impressed. So Guns, you made it home. Great! I love the pictures.

I'll touch base with Bert & Co later this week, and join them for a Tusker in Pretoria. Have fun, & enjoy your holiday.

Lo Clipboard and Huey Fan.

Yip it was really fantatstic ! What impressed me most was that the blades was in track and we had a wonderful gallop and then that SOUND ... eischhh ... thump thump ....

Seriously : I do not shut up as some might know - these guys are REALLY professional and it must rate one of the best - looking / cared for - Warbirds I have seen.

I have send pic's of the Huey to our Ethipian Engineers and can not wait for the answers .. but I pressume it will be something like auwww wenna .. :}

Here is the next mamma (300 odd hours TOTAL) waiting for an engine from Australia.

An old Ethiopian Army Tailboom - complete with bullet holes.
Strange how small the world is .. same "Chief Engineer (Colonel) is now our Chief Technician.

Finally after all these months of slanging somebody appreciates all the years, hours and Aviation Induced Divorce Syndrome I put into building what my wife refers to as my mistress.

What an absolute thrill to actually fly this machine after many tears and frustrations.

Anybody want rebuilds done you know who to call!!

Thanks to all who appreciate the Huey and dont forget the guys who gave their lives flying these machines.
