A couple of days ago the following letter appeared in the Bournemouth Echo.
After many years spent tracing my father, Mr Francis Cecil Connolly, a New Zealander, I found he had lived in Venator Place, Wimborne.
Unfortunately he died in 1988. He had served as a pilot and an air traffic controller during the second world war and had been a civil servant.
May I appeal to any one of your readers who may have known him to kindly contact me by telephone (01924 259412) or by letter, if possible. I would be very grateful.

I worked with Frank at Farnborough in the '70s from 1971 until he retired as deputy SATCO in the mid '70s.
I contacted Peter and found that he had heard from nobody else. I have given him some information but he would like to learn as much as possible about Frank.
Peter's parents divorced in 1946/7 and he had no idea where Frank went. He has been trying to trace him for about 20 years.
If you can help Peter to fill in the blanks, please contact him - he will be very grateful!
