Hi all,
Heard over the frequency today (Casablanca control) a call sign called “west-African” the crew sounded French and the traffic was heading down south.
Any idea who this operator is and where they operate from ?
Many thanks in advance

West Afrcan out of Cotonou, Benin? Last I heard had wetleased a B727-200 From JAT. Crews from ex Jugoslavia.

Wether they have other leased aircraft with French crews on them is another question.

Also heard they were Yugoslav crews flying JAT B727-200.
Maybe you're getting your accents mixed up? Happens to me all the time.:}

Well I could be wrong about linking the accent to French crews; it appeared the traffic was originating from Europe.
Do you know if the 727 is operating to Europe?
Thx
