Any thoughts on the best DVD player software. If it allows DVD movie copying so much the better, but the main requirment is just to play dvd's. We have tried 'Power DVD', but the machine seems to come up with the blue screen of death when any other apps are opened after using it.
Running on Windows ME:(
Dont blame me, I wanted to put 98 SE back in

terryJones,

I have been using nVidia's DVD Software and I really like it. (Especially is you need to play DVDs from different regions.):

NVDVD (http://www.nvidia.com/view.asp?PAGE=nvdvd)

If you want to unlock the hidden features, copy this into notepad and save it to your desktop. Have the name of the file end in .reg like nvdvd.reg as an example:

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\NVIDIA Corporation\NVDVD]
"EnableSceneCapture"=dword:00000001

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Nvidia Corporation\Filters\Audio]
"EnablePropPage"=dword:00000001

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Nvidia Corporation\Filters\Video]
"EnablePropPage"=dword:00000001

Once you have it on your desktop, double click on the file. It will ask you if you want this added to your registry, tell it yes and you are set.

Take Care,
