Hi

Ok this is the scene, Ive done my first year of A-Level. I will be applying to unis in September.

I was wondering if there is any one out there who did the Aircraft Engineering foundation degree at Kingston University. If you could kindly tell me your experience on the course :)

My sole career objective is to be a pilot (nearly done with a PPL), but I think a degree/license would secure me nicely if i fall back at any stage.

Thanks :ok:

They put you less into debt, but either an Engineering Degree or a LAME's License will take you longer and deeper study than a frozen ATPL will old chap.

Nothing wrong with doing either if you're deeply interested in the subject, or want to aim for one of those fascinating but rare jobs (such as a bush pilot or a test pilot) which need some particular combination of flying and engineering abilities - but if all you are looking for is a fall back if you only really want to be a pilot, then frankly I'd not bother.
