No more of those jokes, that have been around for years, about the Big White Rat on Qantas Aircraft.

Seems one of their new B737s is currently grounded, for the 3rd time, due to an infestation of rats.......... :(

While obviously a major inconvenience, and cost, could be really dangerous, as they have apparently begun chewing the Aircraft wiring. :(

The rat is dead - the long tailed rodent like one, not the airline.

No doubt he'll be appearing in a J class meal in a day or 2.

Okay, I had not seen that story.

I saw it on the TV News, funny how these journos all have different stories. ;)

On the TV, they showed the Aircraft being towed into the hangar, and an "Aircraft Pest Control Expert" whatever that is  , saying how he was sure it was not just one rat but a nest of them.

They also said that it was initially spotted by an Engineer in Brisbane doing a Preflight?????

one ball,

Depends of course how YOU chose to read it.

Then of course, this rat would seem to have been slowly carrying out his own C check, so guess it could easily do a preflight. ;)

High Altitude,

At least you wouldn't have a problem with rats then. ;)

What, no crocodiles on the hangar floor......... :D

Up Darwin way, not sure what would be worse - the aforementioned snake or lost rockets:

The Herald's story was the best but I can't find it.

Mind you, they breed 'em tuff in the Territory:

Yes, R.I.P. the rat. :(

Mind you he ate quite a bit of the Aircraft first, rather than the catering. :yuk:

Says something about Qantas catering. ;)

Pimp Daddy,

Next time I fly I'll ask for the cardboard box with the tail hanging out. Probably would be more tasty than what we've been served lately !
