Anyone from TCX Gatwick?

Newsdaughter flew to Santorini yesterday, for well-earned holiday, having passed her degree. NW dropped her off just after 06:30, for a flight scheduled around 09:00. Later received a TXT message saying that they had successfully arrived at 19:30(local). This would seem to indicate a delay of some 5 hours.:(

Since charter delay times seem to be improving, JMC/TC achieving an average delay of just 13 minutes in published 2002 figures :ok: , could someone from TCX please let me know what was the particular problem here?

Arrive JTR - 13:00
Wait for bags and coach
Depart JTR for hotel - 14:30

Where is the resort ? Santorini is a strange island - there may be an extended transfer - but lets call it 1hr

Arrive resort 15:30.

Local time - 17:30. - only 2 hours adrift.

Unpack, go for meal, drink, then text dad ?

Did you check to see what time the JTR flight arrived back @ at LGW ?

Thanks expedite, apparently it was "the dreaded hydraulics" which caused the delay. Better safe than sorry!

At what stage would TC consider an aircraft substitute? How long does it take to switch baggage and provisions over?

I guess 5 hours is not great, but on a week's holiday, it seems to be!
