IFR reference book [Archive]

Given the scattering of information found amongst CARs, Jepps etc, does anyone know of a good IFR reference book - covering things more relevant to Airliners as opposed to light twins - having said that most of the principles would apply to both.
I guess these things may include - reference to air law, radio calls, holding IFR procedures and practical application - tracking on radials, ADF etc etc... .......

I wrote a Jeppesen quick reference guide aimed at regional ops. Fits in the front of your Jepps. Haven't got around to the CAO's etc yet, but it will come eventually.

If you have a Palm Pilot the formatting works well in "Documents To Go". One less thing to carry around up front.

Aviation theory centre have a book called the IFG (instrument flight guide) A little green and white book, it will be exactly what you are after. Retails at about $30. Available at most pilot supply shops I have been to.

As a matter of interest has anyone used the larger trevor thom Multi engine command theory book? if so what do you think ?>

Interested to hear other experiences too
For my 2 cents i found the Thom CIR book and IFG both lacking from a practicle point of view.
The big CIR book is without doubt quite thorough, probably too much so. Leaving much sifting required to get to the nitty gritty.
The IFG seemed to focus plently of attention to non IFR particulars and bleeped over quick reference items such as circling or instrument requirements (random examples, dont have my copy with me). Virtually no mention of enroute radio.
I purchased my copy for the reasons you mentioned TBT and i was sorely dissappointed as i always found their publications to be pretty good, if somewhat verbose.
I ended up scratching my own one up in a notebook.
