Greetings,

Now underway, 15 Air Cadets will take part in the Power Flying
Scholarship at Harv's Air. Students will complete their Private Pilot
Licence, including 48 hours of flying and 50 hours of ground school over the

Follow these students on their own "web diary" or "weblog" found at
http://www.harvsair.com/aircadets Expect daily reports, thoughts, pictures,
defeats, victories, webcams as the students progress through their training.

In 2002 the weblog http://www.harvsair.com/aircadets/2002/index.htm was
seen by over 5000 users from around the world. To make this year even more

.....and in the UK, what do they get? About 15 hours maximum, I gather.

yes they have begun to hand out RAF Flying Scholarships once more. They were reduced in numbers significantly last year but now there are a 100 up for grabs. I completed one in 1986 and it was the best thing I did at the time. Glad to see that young guys and girls can actually get something out of the Airforce again. Long live the RAF Flying Scholarship!
