Police buy helicopter

from the BBC
East Midlands police are getting a new weapon in the fight against crime - a £3.1m helicopter.
The state-of-the-art helicopter will replace the force's current aircraft, which is to be sold.

The new helicopter will serve both Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire.
Both police authorities will each contribute £750,000 towards the cost, with the rest being funded by the Home Office and the sale of the old helicopter.
The new helicopter has been manufactured by Eurocopter in Germany and is being modified for its police role.

It should be operational by April 2004.

Rumour is it's an EC135?
