Persistent rumours keep cropping up that Virgin Blue have been SERIOUSLY looking at the B767/777 to crank up short/medium long haul ops. They would also be used for peak period SY-ML-BN triangle trunk routes.

So is it that where there is smoke there is fire, or where there is smoke there are mirrors ?

Yes, and they've been seen down here at Tulla looking at the ex AN 76's with a couple of FE's to see if they can put the FE seat back in!!!;) :p
