Bit of a long shot this one, but PPRuners never fail to amaze with what info is around. Anyhow here we go:

I need info about a particular F4U-4 Corsair and at present I know the following:

Bu. No. (97115) VF713 based on USS Antienam and ditched off Wonsan Korea 8 Nov 51. I would like to know details regarding sqn numbers and colour scheme. Mainly because the pilot who I am working with has fotgotten them and we need them for a project that we are doing. The number on the nose is likely to be less then 250, and the tail will be adorned with a `H`.

If anyone has any good photos of said sqns machines, I would be more than happy to accept jpgs.

Thanx in advance.

Spot,

Suggest you also post query here (http://www.warbirdsresourcegroup.org/vafrefugees/wix6msgboard.mv) as these guys are hot stuff when it comes to knowing the whats, whys and wherefores of Warbirds. One of the regulars, Rob Mears, is a walking, posting, Corsair encyclopedia!

Good luck with you research,

Treadders
