Aware of published 1000hrs/500 ME command. Any advice on how stringent the 500 ME command time is enforced? Any examples to the contrary?

I can tell you that with 4250 TT and 2400 multi that my phone still isn't ringing .... :{

They are quite serious about 500 PIC, leafed through my logbooks in (successful) interview. Wanted to know when I hit 500. Luckily I acrued the magic no between when I told them I had it and when the interview came up. The wheels turned very quickly after that.

The 500 hours ME command is a must have. I had a friend with lots of turbo-prop FO hours but only 400 hours ME command. He had to get the 500 before he could start with VB.
I have seen people get in with 2000 hours total, PA31 drivers etc…
Must be the luck of the draw.
