Jamaica Aircraft Hire

I am holidaying in Jamaica next year and looking for somewher where I could hire a light aircraft for solo flying. Does anyone have any name? I shall be staying near Ocho Rios

As best as I can remember, "Ochie" does not have an airport. The closest place to probably rent a plane is in Kingston at the Tinson Pen airport (rather than the Norman Manley airport where all the airlines go to). Kingston is the non-touristy part of Jamaica and Tinson Pen is surrounded by a bad neighborhood . . . then again most of Kingston is a bad neighborhood. Have fun at own risk.

The nearest airstrip to Ochie is at Boscobel but unsure of rental opportunities there. If you're not planning to head anywhere near Kingston, the try at MBJ, Montego Bay's airport.
