Hi all,
I have recently been refered to a specialist regarding a previous medical condition that may or may not prevent a class 1 certificate issue. In the process of getting prepared for this appointment I have been gathering all the necessary past medical notes and reports on the condition in question, most of which I have never previously read.

The guts of it is that I have been mortified to find a number of errors, a couple of which could well be an obstacle to class 1 issue. Explaining symtoms can be difficult and it seems as though one specialist in particular has made incorrect assumptions/misunderstood what I,ve said. There is obviously no way to correct these errors now and it seems a though trying to explain them to a medical examiner now might just make me look like a liar who will say anything to get a class 1.

I'm hoping someone out there, a doctor perhaps might offer some advice.

Go to a new Consultant [for a second opinion] for your [previous] condition, who is approved by your aviation medical department.

Try Dr. Michael Slazanger in : St.Michael's Hospital in south Dublin Ireland, he's excellent and is a JAR-AME too.

Go to a different consultant.

Worked for me , medical history can be overuled.

Helps if its someone more experienced than the previous consultant
