I was crewing a flight a few weeks ago, and two male buisnessman were seated next to each other. They took a disliking to each other. It was over something quiet silly. Something about one passenger holding his folder up and it was blocking the other passengers view. I noticed this straight away, as they were starting to get verbally agressive. It was a full flight, so moving one of the men was not an option.

How would you handle this situation?

You basically tell them it's 10 three minute rounds, no spitting no gouging and no punching below the belt and they must break when you say. A good clean fight gentlemen please. In the event of a tie the SCCM's decision is final.

;)

If they're arguing tell them to behave like adults. If they continue and it is getting very heated then bump them both off. It's not them two it's the 100+ other pax and crew you have to consider.

Had something similar a few years ago. I told both of them, that if they felt that they couldn't sort out the situation themselves and quickly. I would arrange to have the police meet the aircraft and they could sort it out with the lovely airport police.

They soon shut up, they sulked for the rest of the flight, but at least they were quiet..:ok:

Had a kinda similar incident onboard one of my flights 2 years ago. Some drunk had got onboard ( malaga ground staff wanted rid of him) and caused distress to female paxs and crew. We had 2 blokes 10 rows behind him try to calm him down and it got heated !!! The drunk said he would punch the lights out of them once they stepped onto the jetty. I heard this and informed the captain. Landed at LGW and police kindly escorted the drunk off. Incident went to court and the drunk got 1 year in prison.

Well done baboy, in my opinion people behave badly because they think they can get away with it, I'm a big fan of zero tolerance.......
