Not wishing to entice people to pull the wings off their flying machines, I was just wondering what is the maximum G achieved by any jet that continued to remain airborne post manoeuvre to successfully land?

Lightning pulled 13 G sometime around 1980 recovering from a burners blazing vertical dive at the sea at night. It kept flying but, after landing, sat in the hanger for a year feeling very sorry for itself. Did fly again though, with the aid of some railway line to hold the main spar together again!

Suffering cats, how did the driver come through it? Come to that, what's the max G ever taken by a pilot who then walked away and flew again?
